that is impressive :wow:
both the building and the pola
:iconspruitjes:
Thank you :blushes:. Can you believe I've been here for 16 years already? I was green as grass when I arrived...
:iconpahness:
16 years... :omg:
I've only been here for 4 years... 4 years sometimes feels like 16 though.
do you ever get homesick?
I'm homesick at least once a day it seems :(
:iconmyvonne:
wow, you work in that big building! in NYC... so cool!

I like NY scene with pola... it does something to the huge and overwhelming city to bring it down to humanity.
:iconspruitjes:
I thought you were American... Now I understand how you know Skinny Puppy...(And Foetus for that matter). Where are you from Jill, if you care to divulge?
And maybe this sounds harsh. I miss my mother at times, but otherwise I'm not homesick, no.
Glad to know YOU though , that's the nice thing about moving. New people, new ideas, new challenges. And great friggin tattoos!!!
:blowkiss:

After sixteen years I find it still a privilege to be here. I work in an adjacent building, but have the luxury to see this on a daily basis.

Humanity is everywhere. If you can only find it. For me it took a long time to reconnect with my roots. Found it in this big city. What a joy!

Very much appreciate your thoughts and visits!
:iconmyvonne:
How wonderful to reconnect with your roots in a large city. I'm assuming it is not where you are from, I've only been to NYC once in the last 10 years and it was the week before 9-11. I loved being in the city and could see how it would or at least could be so energizing to live there. You are a lucky person I think.
:iconpahness:
I thought you had figured it out by now, I haven't exactly been subtle about it :giggle:
I'm from Stockholm, Sweden
I don't miss living in Sweden, and the only family I have left is my brother... but I do miss him and his wife terribly though. and a few very longtime friends :sniff:
I made a 2 week visit 3 years ago, and that cured me of all homesickness for a long time ahead... but I'm feeling it now. badly...
and... if this doesn't get you homesick, I don't know what will:
my friend invited me to go see Nick Cave with her in May, in Stockholm... tickets are already paid for and all....
it's the 20th anniversary of our friendship, on that very day... and I haven't actually seen Nick Cave perform in over 20 years...
*sigh*
*and another sigh*
:lonely:
